Thailand's rice farmers reap profits amid global price spikes and shortages

Global rice prices rose sharply after India, the world’s largest rice exporter, banned exports of non-basmati white rice in July 2023 – and Southeast Asian rice exporters like Thailand are cashing in on the opportunity.
