Scientists onboard Hobart’s RV investigator have discovered eight dormant underwater volcanoes in the southern ocean between Tasmania and Antarctica.

They’ve made the discovery using gliders, that act as underwater drones .. Uncovering an undersea mountain range with peaks up to 15-hundred metres high.
