All bus stops in Singapore to be equipped with police cameras by mid-2030s

By the mid-2030s, every bus stop in Singapore will be watched over by police cameras. They will be part of an expanded network of over 200,000 — which the police have just opened a tender for. According to the police, police cameras have helped to solve around 7,500 crime cases since 2012. On many occasions, PolCam footage have helped the police to identify, locate and arrest suspects within hours of a crime being reported. There are currently over 90,000 police cameras around Singapore at places like HDB blocks and other public areas.
