Watch live: Channel Crossing Inquiry begins

The Cranston Inquiry begins today and will look into the 24 November 2021 tragedy in which at least 27 people died whilst crossing the Channel.

The inquiry will examine who died and how, as well as what lessons have been learnt for future reference.

The chairman of the inquiry, Sir Ross Cranston is delivering the opening statement.
