The UN General Assembly holds an emergency special session on the Israel-Hamas war.
A resolution tabled by the Arab Group calling for an immediate ceasefire and the provision of urgent humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip will be discussed.
Member states including the US, EU, UK, Qatar, Egypt, Turkey and Saudi Arabia are expected to speak. A vote on the resolution is expected Friday.
