Russia has rejected the US media report claiming that a top Russian general, Sergei Surovikin, knew in advance about the Wagner group’s mutiny on Saturday. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov called the New York Times report citing US officials ‘gossip.’ He said, “There will now be a lot of speculation, gossip, and so on around these events.
