Libya flooding: 400 migrants among 4,000 killed, says WHO – BBC News

Around 400 North African and Middle-Eastern migrants were among 4,000 people killed after flooding in eastern Libya, the World Health Organization (WHO) says.

Recovery efforts are still ongoing to find people lost following last weeks flooding, caused by Storm Daniel, with the UN expecting the death toll to rise further.

One of the worst hit cities was Derna, which was swamped by water when two dams burst near the city.
