Indian indices opened lower today with Nifty at 21,450.
The Sensex was down 523.06 points or 0.73 percent at 70,977.70, and the Nifty was down 153.70 points or 0.71 percent at 21,418.30. About 1375 shares advanced, 876 shares declined, and 89 shares unchanged.
Adani Ports, Apollo Hospitals, UltraTech Cement, Coal India and Reliance Industries were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were LTIMindtree, Power Grid Corp, HDFC Bank, Asian Paints and SBI Life Insurance.
