The Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation subcommittee of the House Transportation Committee holds a hearing on securing shipping against threats in the Red Sea. The committee evaluates emerging challenges to U.S. and global shipping efforts in the Red Sea due to increased geopolitical threats in the region.

Witnesses testifying at the hearing include: Bud Darr, EVP of Maritime Policy and Government Affairs, Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC); Dr. Ian Ralby, CEO of I.R. Consilium; Jonathan Gold, VP of Supply Chain and Customs Policy, National Retail Federation; and David Heindel, president of Seafarers International Union.
