Four Egyptian officials back on trial in Italy over death of Giulio Regeni

The trial has resumed in Italy of four Egyptian security agents for the kidnapping and murder of an Italian academic.
Prosecutors in Rome have been unable to track down the accused so they’re being tried in their absence.
Giulio Regeni’s body was found in a ditch outside Cairo in 2016.
An autopsy showed the 28-year-old had been tortured.
The Egyptian government denies any involvement in his death.

Al Jazeera’s Sonia Gallego reports from Rome, Italy.
