The Cable News Network, more famously known as CNN, which was founded in 1980 by Ted Turner, revolutionized TV journalism by inventing round-the-clock, rolling news. The news channel’s stratospheric rise was so significant it represented a new era for the media but today, it’s a different story altogether.
In February this year, CNN marked its lowest-rated month in a decade, with the network’s prime time lineup dropping 42% among its key demographic viewers from the age of 25 to 54 which are valued by advertisers in comparison to the same month a year ago.
