Biden delivers remarks on Israel and Gaza – 10/19 (FULL LIVE STREAM)

Join Post reporters for President Biden’s Oval Office address to the nation on the U.S. response to Hamas’s violence against Israel and Russia’s aggression in Ukraine. On Wednesday, Biden travelled to the Middle East to stand shoulder to shoulder with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in an fulsome show of support. In February, the president made a surprise visit to Kyiv, appearing alongside Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Following the president’s trip to Israel, the White House announced it had negotiated the passage of limited aid relief into the Gaza strip, though details of how the aid would get into Gaza remained murky. Meanwhile, the State Department urged U.S. citizens to depart neighboring Lebanon “as soon as possible” as protests in the country grew more violent. In the United States, Capitol Police arrested 300 people who were protesting inside the rotunda of the Cannon House Office Building, demanding that Congress pass a cease-fire resolution.
