Singapore Deputy Prime Minister Lawrence Wong has called for a stronger ASEAN to compete on the world stage with bigger economies. He was speaking at the ASEAN Finance Ministers’ and Central Bank Governors’ Meeting in Jakarta. The ASEAN Economic Community Blueprint was on the agenda. Other initiatives discussed include deepening ASEAN finance cooperation, regional financial integration and building of sustainable infrastructure.
