The United Nations says about 50,000 Palestinians fled from northern to southern Gaza on Wednesday.
The UN also says fighting between Israel and Hamas has intensified in Gaza City.

Diplomats say negotiations are underway for a three-day humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza.
In exchange, about a dozen hostages would be freed.
Hamas seized roughly 240 hostages and killed about 1,400 people in the October 7th attack on Israel.
